Information about projects and events associated with the VA 250 commemoration in Mathews County will be listed on this page and in media outlets. In addition, the Mathews VA 250 Committee is planning a series of community outreach events beginning in 2024 to solicit community input and to describe projects and events. The 250th celebration will culminate in July 2026 with special events in the Court House on and about the Fourth of July with a grand finale to commemorate the Battle of Cricket Hill late in that same week.
